Guwahati: MLA Congress from the Constituency of Baghbar Assam, Sherman Ali Ahmed, has been indicted by “provocation with the intention to cause riots” and “promotes hostility between different groups for religious reasons” because of his disrespectful statement against Martyrs Agitation Assam (1979 ) -1985).
The Court of Judge Judge Judge, Kamrup (Metro) on Sunday sent him to two-day police custody.
The police have asked the court for detention 10 days.
