Bengaluru: The Karnataka Government has told the Karnataka Police Law (Amendment), 2021, forbid all online game formats involving bets, bets and gambling from all nature and forms in the state.
Immediately after notification on Tuesday, several gaming applications began sending messages to users that the law in the state did not allow such games.
Under the changed law, online gaming is considered a violation that is not in a fine of up to RS 1 lakh and prison for up to 3 years.
In addition to banning skill games, the government has banned online games using “electronic facilities and virtual currencies, electronic fund transfers in connection with any coincidence game”.
Police Law Karnataka (Amendment) received the Governor’s approval after being passed by the two legislative homes in the Monsun session held last month.
Some gaming companies have decided to move to court.
