Guwahati: The court here in Guwahati on Friday sent a new Rajomaanya model, was accused of a case of a road accident, to hold the trial while the police questioned a neurosurgeon and supervisor of private hospitals for allegedly helping him to avoid police investigations.
Neurosurgeon, Dr.
Navanil Barua, allegedly recognized the 29-year-old model to the hospital on October 3 by signing a “fake medical certificate” about head injury.
Rajkanya missed the police interrogation on Wednesday quoting the certificate.
On Thursday, the police arrested him from the ICU at the hospital based on the government’s medical panel of six doctors, who found his suites appearing in front of the officers who investigated.
“The hospital authorities and doctors were questioned today in connection with this case.
The police have received evidence against the doctor.
There is nothing more to say for the sake of the investigation,” said a police source.
Meanwhile, before entering the interrogation room at the police station was disputed, Neurosurgeon denied the allegations that he protected Rajkanya by issuing a fake certificate.
He, moreover, said he didn’t even know the defendant.
“I didn’t help him.
Whatever I did, I did it by following medical ethics,” commented neurosurgeons.
The police also questioned the GNRC Superintendent Subrata Bhagawati hospital in connection with this case.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma said anyone who was found guilty of being punished under the law.
