Bengaluru: Congress in Karnataka found himself in a shameful situation after two officials were caught on the president of KPCC Badmouthing Camera DK Shivkumar and also talked about alleged involvement in corruption when he was a minister in Siddaramaiiah and HD Kumaraswamy LED JDS-Congress Coalition Government.
Stung by developments, the party expelled the KPCC M Sureem media coordinator from the party and also presented a show of notifications to spokesman and former MP from Ballari V S URAPPA.
Shivakumar tried to distance himself from video content that claimed he had not been involved in corruption and whatever discussed in the video was far from the truth.
“Whether I am and my party has nothing to do with the video.
I don’t say this conversation hasn’t happened but it is a personal talk between the two individuals,” he said.
Both Saleem and Ugrappa in a few minutes private conversation before the press conference held at the KPCC office on Tuesday was heard about corruption by Shivakumar.
They did not realize that the examination was.
The conversation was in the context of the recent I-T attack on three contractors from Karnataka involved in the implementation of irrigation projects and highways in the state.
Interestingly, Shivakumar is a minister of irrigation in the Kumaraswamy government.
“Previously there was a deduction of 6-8 percent (bribery to be given to the Minister and Official) but rose to 10-12 percent during the shivkumar time.
If the problem (Raids IT) dug deeper, the role (shivakumar) will also come out,” said Saleem told UGRappa.
He also said many followers of Shivakumar have made big money.
“Mulagund (a nearby Shivakumar, according to Saleem) is worth Rs 50 Crore to Rs 100 Crore.
Imagine how much (wealth) Shivakumar,” he said.
During the conversation, Saleem also digging by speaking in public.
“He stuttered while speaking in public.
I don’t know whether it was because BP was low or he was a drunkard.
His body language also made people believe he was a drunkard,” he said.
On his side, Ugrappa said he and the others made the KPCC Shivakumar President with many efforts but he did not do many things to raise the prospect of the party.
When the video became viral, Ugrappa pampered itself in damage control by saying Saleem only told BJP leaders about Shivakumar after an I-T attack.
