Bengaluru: An Executive Engineer Assistant (AEE) and the Bangalore Development Authority Surveyor (BDA) on Monday was arrested on charges of demanding and accepting bribes from someone who built a building.
The arrest was Aee Manjunath and Surveyor Jayaram, both inherent in RT Nagar Bda.
According to press releases by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jayaram was arrested by red hand while accepting bribes on behalf of Manjunath.
Individuals are building buildings in RT Nagar.
A few days ago, Manjunath visited the place, the directed work was stopped and demanded Rs 5 lakh for them to continue with the same thing.
Then, Manjunath directed the person concerned to contact Jayaram and handed in cash to him, the release was added.
Traps were placed on Mondays and ACB Sleuth arrested Jayaram while receiving Rs 2 Lakh, the first bribe installment.
“Based on Jayaram’s statement, we arrested Manjunath,” said ACB Sleuths.
