Hoshiarpur: A 15-year-old girl allegedly raped by his uncle in a village under the Mahilpur police station here, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred in February this year but the victim expressed his ordeal to his mother after he was pregnant.
The defendant was identified as Jasbir Singh allegedly raped the victim when he was alone in his house and his mother went to work, the police said, adding that he had been arrested.
He allegedly raped him again eight days later and threatened the victim of a terrible consequence if he told anyone about it, according to the police.
The victim’s mother became suspicious and got it medically checked after that she knew about pregnancy, they said.
The investigation of Jaskaran Kaur officers said Singh had been ordered under the relevant parts of the IPC and the protection of children from the Act of sexual violation.
