Chandigarh: The Punjab police on Tuesday seized 90 poppy husk bags with a weight of around 1,800 kg from a warehouse at Badduwal bypass in the Dharamkot Sub-Division of the Moga District.
Registration number for truck bearings HR-64-6149 and Xylo MUV with the PB-05-J-9539 registration number confiscated from the failure.
Punjab led the DGP Iqbal Preeting Singh Sahota said acting in Tipoff, SSP Moga Surinderjit Singh Mand had sent a police team to carry out the attack on The failure.
He added that the police team had succeeded in seizing Poppy Sekam and ordered 11 people, including Pippal Singh from Daulewala Village, who had served a 30-year sentence in prison based on the NDPS law.
The police have identified 10 accused of being Inderdit Singh aka Labha, Minna Singh, Taseless Singh aka Nannu, Karamjit Singh alias Karma, Gurdle Singh aka Motu, Jughwinder Singh aka Sisku, Paramjit Singh, all residents of Daulewala Village and Mangal Singh from Mandir Village.
The SSP said further investigation continued and all the defendants would be arrested soon.
The police have registered pine under various parts of the NDPS law at the Dharamkot police station.
