Guwahati: Tezpur in North Assam has been ranked as the cleanest city in northeast in a population category 50,000 to 1 lakh in the Swayhh Survekshan ranking announced on Saturday.
In the population category 1 to 10 lakh, where major cities and capital ne coming, Dibrugarh are the cleanest in the region ranked 3111 followed by Guwahati (312), Nagaon (336), Silchar (346).
Of the 372 cities in this category, the Shillong ranking is 371.
Aizawl is in 359 and Imphal is 365.
Agartala has been ranked 356, while the dimplur is ranked 322.
Capital State Guwahati edged up to 312 of 403.
Among the countries Countries with less than 100 urban local agencies in the northeast, Nagaland is the cleanest, ranked 6th.
Interestingly, another country inhabited by Tribal Jharkhand topped the list in the same category in India.
However, Meghalaya was ranked 14th.
Mizoram and Manipur are in the 9th and 7th position each.
Nine cities from Assam —— Tezpur, Golaghat, Bongaiga, Kokrajhar, Tinsukia, Hailakandi, Haflong, Jorhat and Lakhhipur (Cachar) have been able to secure rankings in the Swachh Survekshan League 2021 in various categories.
Golaghat on Assam has been decided as the cleanest city in northeast in 25,000 to 50,000 population groups.
On the other hand, Bongaigaon Bongaiga lower is the best city in innovation and practice in a population group of 50,000 to 1 lakh.
Kokrajhar in the territorial territory of Bodoland Assam was awarded as the best independent city (25,000 to 50,000 populations) in the northeast.
The fastest driving city in NE (50,000 to 1 Lakh population) is Tinsukia.
In category 25,000 to 50,000 populations, the Hailakadi district in Barracks Assam has been awarded as the best cities in innovation and practice.
