Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has now distributed RS 5 Lakh compensation, respectively to nearly 400 farmer families who died during the last one year in ongoing agricultural protests against the three central agriculture laws which are now revoked and requests to make minimum support prices (MSP) as a legal right.
The state government has also provided employment of the next 152 people from this died farmer.
Nearly 700 farmers lost their lives during this protest from Punjab, Haryana and other countries last for one year.
The Punjab government authority has found a total of 381 cases of died farmers from 20 districts – Faridkot restrictions, Pathankot and neat – where government work can be given to their next relatives.
But the district authority respectively arrived only 223 cases to the state headquarters after verifying land.
The highest number of 61 dead cases of farmers was found in Sangrur Regency and from the next 31 KIN had been submitted to the appointment letter to date.
Bathinda District was present at the second number with a total of 53 cases where 23 promises had been submitted.
A total of 47 cases of qualifying eligible for the work existed in the Mansa District but until now only 10 family members from the died farmers have been given a job here.
Head of Secretary-Cum-Commissioner-Special Finance, the Department of Revenue and Rehabilitation Vijay Kumar Janjua told TII, “This is a sustainable process and as soon as the government gets a verification report from the district level, a member of the eligible family members is being issued by a commensuration appointment letter.
