Chandigarh: The Punjab Excise Ministry on Wednesday broke the “organized module” that sells scotches of imports smuggled without a hologram in the Amritsar district and seized 2,150 cases of illegal liquor.
Excise Commissioner Rajat Agarwal said that the excise department once again tightened the snare on the people involved in smuggling and selling liquor that was not paid in Punjab.

Some cases of liquor have a punjab state hologram inserted through the Chandigarh hologram, which shows that the defendant even smuggled liquor from Chandigarh and tried to attach the hologram punjab on it to make it look like the Paid for Paid Customs.
This liquor is allegedly sold through the Bootleggers network or to the wedding palace and the bar, causing state losses.
Several teams were called from other districts to take godown stocks and a comprehensive examination of the restored shares carried out by the team.
