Bengaluru: A 38-year-old Sudanese woman landed at Kempegowda Bengaluru International Airport (KIA) from Sharjah with a gold pasta weighing 535GM hidden in its capsules in the rectum.
He was arrested by Bengaluru Customs as long as his efforts to sneak with the smuggled gold worth Rs 26.11 Lakh.
Bengaluru Airport Source said the incident was opened on Tuesday night after landing Aircraft Arabia G9 498 from Sharjah to Bengaluru.
Around 9:30 when passengers who have dropped into the airport building, the absence of customs that served on the floor of the African woman’s intercepted terminal was suspected.
Officials asked him to ascertain whether he was the Sudanese passport holder and arrived in India with a medical visa.
But with further suspicion of his trip to Bengaluru, the female officer questioned him and learned that he spoiled the gold smuggling of the UAE to Bengaluru.
Because further questioned, the woman accepted that she brought three capsules filled with gold in the form of paste in her rectum to avoid customs officials at the airport.
He handed over the capsules and officials burst out after melting pasta to a solid block to ensure it became 535GM Gold worth Rs 26.11 Lakh in the current market value.
The woman was ordered to smuggle gold in an effort to avoid customs.
According to Kurcas, further investigation is underway if he acts alone or part of an international smuggling ring with a strong link in Bengaluru.
