CHANDIGARH: Concerned on the consequences of air quality to their wellbeing, over 8000 college pupils from across Punjab on World Environment Day have composed chief minister Amarinder Singh.
The pupils through their letters encouraged him to immediately start measures by performing the increasing air pollution, that may help protect their health.
The initiative of creating awareness among pupils on Air Pollution has been completed under the Clean Air Punjab job by EcoSikh.
The requirements from students mostly echoed their best to clean air and the best way to breathe in exactly the identical time emphasizing the reality that Punjab has several of the most polluted cities in India including – Mandi Gobindgarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Khanna, and Patiala.
“Our teachers continue telling us about how increasing air pollution and also breathing poisonous atmosphere impacts the respiratory tract and children are prone to air pollution.
I keep reading and hearing about the increasing air pollution levels from cities of Punjab and it disturbs me like Covid 19,” explained Tanpreeet Singh, a pupil from Chandigarh.

This alarming data sets attention on the immediate requirement for the intervention and promoting activities to decrease the prevalent intense air pollution.
