Chandigarh: UT government has requested the Society of Energy and Science and renewable technology Chandigarh (Crest) on reports on the progress of the installation of solar crops.
Administration recently submitted a review petition before the Combined Electricity Regulation Commission (JERC) for the implementation of the Resco model (renewable energy service company) for the installation of solar factories in the city.
Recently, the Commission Commission has rejected the UT government application to apply the Resco model.
Chandigarh renewable energy and science and technology promotion technology (crest), has transferred JERC to implement the Resco model in the city.
Crest, the nodal agent of the project, has proposed this model after the approval of the former UT administrator V P Singh Badnore when the residents are wary of initial capital investment.
The new and renewable ministry of energy has increased the city solar power plant target of 50 megawatts (MW) to 69 MW, which will be achieved in 2022.
