Bengaluru: Ten more people in Karnataka were found infected with the omicron sars-cov2 variant on Monday, taking the total calculation of people infected with the variant to 76.
More than 50 of them came from Bengaluru.
Of the 10 reported on Monday, the majority of the majority – eight – came from Bengaluru, while the other two came from Dharwad District.
New cases including two women aged 42 and 65, who came to Bengalaru from Mumbai on December 27.

A 40-year-old woman from Belgium, who landed in Bengaluru on December 21, was also found carrying the Omicron variant.
He has been tested positive for Covid on December 28.
In Dharwad, a 14-year-old female student and 53-year-old woman, who is part of a cluster at a train school in Hubballi, found infected by Omicron.
Both were hospitalized and now in the quarantine of the house.
The control room at eight BBMP Zoneshe Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanaagara Pulike (BBMP) has set up control rooms at eight zones to the Query field related to Covid-19.
The control room will function 24 × 7 and will provide information related to pandemic such as triating centers, testing, UPC details, inpatient care and vaccination among others.
