Guwahati: Vaccination campaigns for the 15-18 age group began at Assam on Monday, with students showing extraordinary responses in the city and districts far since morning.
The Ministry of Health has set a target of one lakh-children’s vaccination in 500 schools on the first day.
With 978 Covid active vaccination centers, more than 90,000 children in the age group 15-18 have received Covaxin’s first jambs throughout the state for free (until 6:30 p.m.).
Massive arrangements were made throughout the state to curb the possibility of vaccine doubts which may be the main minister of Himanta Buswa Sarma, his colleagues and MLA fan to various districts to encourage children to be vaccinated.
The Chairperson of the Sarma Minister launched the state drive in the morning at the Indian Indian secondary school School, Duliajan, in Dibrugarh District, called it a decisive day in a prolonged struggle against Covid-19.
“We also plan to complete vaccination doses for the 15-18 age group in a short time with Bharat Biotech Covaxin so that they can confidently appear in their final examination,” Sarma said.
