Shimla: Himachal Pradesh is set to have 13 ROPEWAY projects in various parts of the country that will not only revolutionize the state transportation system Hill but will also increase tourism activities.
Project 13 Ropeway proposed has a total length of 111.65 km with an estimated cost of Rs 5,644 Crore.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently tweeted about new Ropeway projects proposed for Himachal Pradesh.
He claimed that the construction of Ropeway projects would not only make the trip easier in the hilly field but it would also ensure the arrival of tourists in all seasons.
He said that the proposed ropeways will also cut travel time and distance by making trips easier and safer.
He said that the new Ropeway project would create employment opportunities.
In the valley of the Chamba District remote Pangkan, Ropeway has been proposed from Bhanodi to Killar through Sach Pass having a total of 21.7 km with an estimated cost of Rs 1,000 Crore.
The entire project was proposed to be completed in eight stages.
In Chamba Regency, other ROPEWAY projects have been proposed between Chamba and Chaugan have a total length of 0.25 km with an estimated cost of Rs 25 Crore.
In Kullu Regency, three Ropeways have been proposed.
One Ropeway is between Prini and Hamta Pass in Manali has a total length of 5.8 km with an estimated cost of Rs 380 Crore, while others are proposed in Manali have a total length of 11.2 km with an estimated cost of Rs 500 Crore.
The third ropeway was proposed between Manali and Labadugh which had a total length of 2.7 km with an estimated cost of RS 162 Crore.
In Kangra District, a proposed Ropeway project between Palampur, Thathri to Chunja glacier has a total length of 13.5 km with an estimated cost of 605 crore while other ROPEWAY projects proposed in Dharamshala have a total length of 14 km with an estimated cost of Rs 800 Crore.
In the Shimla District, a Ropeway was proposed between Narcanda-Hatue Peak had a length of 3.10 km with an estimated cost of RS 172 Crore while the others proposed at Shimla had a total length of 22.4 km with an estimated cost of 1,200 crore rs.
In the Solan District, a Ropeway project proposed in Kasauli has a total length of 3 km with an estimated cost of Rs 250 Crore; In the Bilalaspur district, a ROPEWAY project was proposed between Lunhu and Bandla had a total length of 3 km with an estimated cost of Rs 150 Crore; In the Sirmaur District, a ROPEWAY project proposed in the Churdhar has a total length of 8 km with an estimated cost of RS 250 Crore while the Ropeway project is 3 km with an estimated cost of Rs 150 Crore between Shikawari and Bhatkidhar in the Bath Regency has been proposed.
