In the midst of increasing COV cases, HC started a virtual hearing again

Guwahati: The High Court of Gahati turned to the virtual process from Thursday, following a fresh surge in the case of Covid-19 in Assam and detection of omicron cases, and it will apply until further orders.
Notifications issued by the Registrar of the General Court stated, “Advocates and learning supporters and parties-in-people can mention the things they show urgency before the court concerned in the main seat.

“The next court stated that only supporters and his parents, whose names appeared in the list of causes, will enter the high court premise.
“Every other individual whose presence is needed in court must enter after obtaining a previous permission from the registrant (administration),” he said.
Maintaining facial masks and maintaining social distance norms have been made mandatory in a high court place.
“Lawyers, lawyers, staff members, security staff, etc.
After taking a dose of Covid-19 vaccine, it will be permitted to enter a high court place and will be subject to medical screening before entering the new and old high courthouse,” said the notice.
On Wednesday reported 591 cases of Covid-19, where 279 was recorded in Camrup (Metro) only.
In the past 10 days, Kecatrupup Regency (Metro) has registered the highest number of cases in 832, followed by Kamrup (156), Jorhat (105) and Dibrugarh (72).
