Bengaluru: Attracting BBMP for the delay of 2.5km blankets between Ejipura Junction and Kendriya Sadan, Koramangala, the High Court on Tuesday directing the President Commissioner to complete the project settlement plan.
On July 29 last year, the court had directed the Civic’s body to submit his objection statement which stated the outside time limit at which construction would be completed.
The bench said the objection statement was not submitted and BBMP advice was not in a position to provide a time frame.
BBMP advice handed that problems related to tree cuts and penalties imposed on the contractor have slowed the project.
The division bench led by the Chairman of the Rujian Judge Raj Awasthi said the court was not ready to hear about the reason, but wanted the results.
“If there are so many problems for completion, it should not be started and so much public money should not be invested.
There is no reason not to complete the flyover.
We direct the second respondent (Commissioner of the BBMP) to submit a detailed plan for the project settlement.
This project must be resolved November 4, 2019, so there is no delay that does not need further must be caused, “he said.
The bench also said if a detailed plan was not sent on the next date, the head of the BBMP must be present before the court.
The next session on January 20.
