Bengaluru: The active case in Karnataka crosses 2.5 lakh on Tuesday as the country is registered again a surge in Logging 41,457 new Covid-19 cases, and 20 deaths, taking counting to 32,88,700 and the death toll of 38,465.
The country, who has witnessed a steady wave in the case since the last week of December, has recorded 27,156 fresh infections on Monday, while it was 34,047 on Sunday.
The new cases recorded on that day, 25,595 came from Bengaluru Urban who saw 4,514 people dismissed and 7 deaths.
The total number of active cases throughout the country is 2,50,381.
There were 8,353 releasing, taking the total recovery to 29,99,825, the Bulletin said the Ministry of Health.
While the level of participation for that day was established at 22.30 percent, the case mortality rate (CFR) was 0.04 percent.
Of the 20 deaths, 7 came from Bengaluru Urban, Mysuru (3), Tumakuru (2), and each of the rustic Bengaluru, Chamarajnagara, Chitradurga, Davangere, Dharwad, Hassan, Ramanagara and Uttara Kannada.
Apart from Bengaluru Urban, Mysuru recorded the second high of 1,848 new cases, Hassan 1,739, Tumaku 431, Rural Bengaluru 1,116, and Dakshina Kannada 1,058.
The Bengaluru Urban District now has a total of 14,58,349 a positive case, followed by Mysuru 1,90,462 and Tumakuru 1,29,765.
According to the bulletin, Bengaluru Urban overcame the list among the release with 12,63,555, followed by MySuru 1.79,623 and tumakuru 1,20,659.
Cumulatively, a total of 5,93.91,381 samples were tested, where it was 1.85,872 on Tuesday.
