Bengaluru: Two Bengaluru’s main institutions will play a key role in the launch of the National Mental Health Program announced in the Union budget on Tuesday.
Although no large ticket infrastructure project announced for Karnataka will go to assembly elections next year, CM Basilvaraj Bommai said the joint measures would help spur employment growth and achieving sustainable development.
With Covid-19 triggered an exponential increase in mental health problems among vulnerable populations, the budget announced the mental health program that will operate under the network of 23 mental health centers excellence with Nimhans Bengaluru as the center of Nodal and Institute of Indian Information Technology, Bengaluru, provides technology support.
With a 35% increase in capital expenditure, CM Bommai said the state is expected to obtain additional capital expenditures of Hospital 3,500 crore from the center in 2022-23.
“This is a forward post-covid budget.
This will help us increase economic growth and invite private investment,” he added.
The central movement to allocate Rs 1 Lakh Crore to help countries in betraying overall investment in the economy for 2022-23 has a variety of reviews because many feel they will not benefit the country because of the conditions that are bound to utilize the interests of 50 years of free loans.
On the plan to connect the Cauvery and Pennar River, Bommai said the state government would not approve it in the current form without ensuring the country gets a share of water.
