Udupi: Two government schools in Kundapur have succeeded in getting a passionate makeover over this weekend due to the volunteer efforts of Kannada Manasugalu (KMP) based in Bengaluru.
KMP has launched a campaign ‘Savaris Shale’ (Save Government School) in 2019.
KMP President Pavan Darigundi, “Under campaign, we have worked to provide basic infrastructure.
Schools for makeovers are chosen by the Committee and based on certain criteria.
One is that the school should not be painted over the past decade or truly dilapidated.
We work on weekends until the mission is over and has officially completed 11 schools so far.
Even though there are around 150 volunteers, around 50-70 members participate in this campaign and travel By bus.
“On January 29 and 30, the volunteers worked in Karkunje higher elementary schools and lower elementary schools in the code.

When we launched this campaign, we have a hard time raising funds and we also do not receive support from the locals.

Makeovers include painting schools, providing fans, lights, projectors, printers, water filters and electrical work.
