Bathinda: Some valuable memories of Lata Mangeshkar are located in the Pakistani Faiz family bank locker Ahmad Faiz.
The oldest of the rare gem came from the 1960s when he hosted Faiz on his visit to Mumbai (then Bombay).

Salima Hashmi (80), Faiz’s oldest daughter, told toi on Sunday that: “During the 1960s meeting, they talked music, poetry, and surely the situation applies in each of their countries.

“In 1999, when Salima and her daughter, Mira Hashmi, visited Mumbai to make a documentary about Pakistani singing legend, Noor Jehan, they met Lata for part of the story.
Salima said: “Lataji recalled the meeting with my father and talked about his admiration for his poem.
Lata was universally admired from his initial career to the following years.
