ROHTAK/BATHINDA: Hemmed from the continuing farmers’ protest against the 3 fundamental agri-marketing legislation for nearly seven weeks now, residents of 17 cities in Haryana and 12 at Delhi on Sunday maintained a mahapanchayat in Sersa village of Sonipat district to explore the problem of the poor commute with all the Union and state authorities.
Farmers have been hinting in the Delhi boundaries and the streets resulting in the 3 primary protest websites — Singhu, Tikri and also Ghaziabad — are heavily barricaded to reinforce the federal capital.
All these villagers are demanding the barricades be eliminated and at the side of the street resulting in the Singhu boundary be opened.
Ramphal Saroha, that presided on the mahapanchayat, stated the problem was discussed at the interview and it had been determined that a delegation would satisfy the fundamental and the state authorities to demonstrate their requirement of draining one side of this street in the Singhu border.
“If authorities do not have a decision about the requirements of the villagers in 10 days, then we’ll hold the following mahapanchayat, larger than that, from Delhi,” he explained.
“We demand that the authorities ensure free motion on a single side of the street so that citizens face no problem with daily pursuits.
A delegation would shortly fulfill the Union home ministry and say chief minister in this respect,” he further added.
But he explained that they didn’t have some grudge against the farmers as well as the problem was to perform his or her own livelihood.
“Because of the blockade in Singhu boundary, we’ve dropped Delhi connectivity and it’s cost us dearly.
Additionally, the existence of a great amount of individuals from out has made it hard for women to proceed,” he explained.
Saroha clarified they had taken up the matter with all the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) before, but to absolutely no avail.
The SKM was asserting huge support from the natives.
In addition, it has alleged malicious propaganda from the June 17 episode of suicide in the Tikri boundary and required a reasonable probe.
