Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Police, who continued their investigation into the case of peddling drugs involving MDMA, had arrested two more Nigerian citizens from Bengaluru.
Arrests in connection with two NDPS cases ordered at the Konaje Police Station.
235g MDMA was confiscated.
City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said on Tuesday that the accused of being arrested was Ohambobi Paul and Uchechukwu Malakey Elekwachi, both of them were 34 years old.
They live in Bidrahalli in Bengaluru.
So far nine people have been arrested in this case.
Shashi Kumar said Paul and Malachy were also too excessive in the country.
“They came to India to study, after that they remained back with the pretext of the garment business.
However, they were involved in illegal drug trafficking.
They also come into contact with the suppliers of drugs from Mangaluru and Kerala.
Everyone who was arrested so far is interconnected,” he said , Paul and Elekwachi have been produced in front of the court and taken to police custody.
“We suspect there are more people involved in the racket.
ACP Southern Division Ranjit Kumar Bandaru will lead the investigation.
Property has been collected, and we urge for a comprehensive investigation,” Shashi Kumar said.
