Bengaluru: Deputy Chancellor of five agricultural universities managed by the government on Wednesday met with the BS Minister Yediyurappa looking for his intervention in filling out vacancies in teaching and not teaching.
Led by Agriculture Minister BC Patil, VC shows that 45 percent of teaching and more than 55 percent of non-teaching posts are still empty.
The shortage of acute workers has influenced research and burdens the existing staff that have been given additional workloads, they said.
Under the coordinated research project throughout India and the Pattern of funding Krishi Vignan Kendra, the University gets 80 and 100 percent allocation to employ the workforce.
VC said the state government had not provided sanctions to this personnel and asked for help immediately.
They also urge CM to increase grants.
