Chikkaballapur: Police have launched the search for members of the Panchayat Gram charged by sending text messages and LWD images to a little girl.
The case has been registered under the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) acting against Srinivasa, which was accused of being a member of the Kammagutahalli Gram Panchayat near Gudibande in the Chikkaballapur district, and his friend Keshava.
The little girl was given mobile by her family to attend online class.
With the pretext of helping him get a scholarship under the government scheme, the defendant had taken his cellphone number.
The defendant also called the little girl late at night and used vulgar.
