Chandigarh: surrendered to pressure from various employee organizations, the Punjab government on Wednesday agreed to give a minimum increase of 15% for each employee.
The government has also given approval to restore benefits at the revised level, which will lead to almost double the current allowance.
Moving will cost the country extaquer above and above Rs 1,000 Crore per year.
The decision was taken by the Ministerial Supervisory Committee formed by CM Captain Amarinder Singh to resolve complaints of state government employees.
The state to pay 4.692CR per year is more than employees, the retired government also considers the request of doctors to restore non-research benefits (NPA) with their basic payments of 20%.
Government doctors are in the vetments with the state government over the previous decision not to treat NPAs as payments or emergencies for other purposes.
The Punjab government has begun to pay NPA from 2011 at a rate of 25% of the basic payment of the central government pattern with the aim of maintaining doctors in government services and to stop the medical professional exodus of the country.
The state government will pay an additional Rs 4,692 Crore per year to around 2.85 lakh employees and a retired 3.7 lakh.
With this, every employee and a retired average will get Rs 79,250 per year and above and above what they get.
In addition, these employees and retirees will also get RS arrears 13,759 Crore.
