Guwahati: Mahajot, alliance of anti-BJP parties led by Congress, until now failing to bring in a newborn regional group regardless of their anti-BJP.
In fact, the defeat of the Congress in the last assembly poll was pinned on the regional party’s vital facts playing spoilsport.
In this scenario, the All India Trinamool Congress targets a wider alliance of regional parties to defeat the Saffron coalition in the Lok Sabha 2024 poll.
The meeting has been held between Regional Satraps and TMC leaders in Kolkata.
Naba Kumar Saramia, twice the independent MP from Kokrajhar and former Ulfa leader said he met Abhishek Banerjee, Secretary General of AITC, in Kolkata in July.
Akhil Gogoi, President Raijor Dal, was in Kolkata on Tuesday for a meeting with Abhishek Banerjee.
Gana Surakha Sarania (GSP) party was part of the BJP LED alliance in the Bodoland Territorial Board poll last year, although the relationship between the two did not have the current relevance, MP told Tii on Thursday.
On the other hand, the congress plan to bring Akhil in the opposition Mahajot Fold continues to reach obstacles because of the ajmal factor.
Akhil will not be part of the Congress LED alliance during Aiudf Ajmal with Mahajot.
But the two leaders have gave a green signal that they did not have a problem with the leadership of the Trinamool of the leadership of Mamata Banerjee when he was described as the next prime minister’s candidate from the UPA.
“This is the time to draw Lakshman Rikha for Congress.
The leader of the Jamajwadi Party Akhilesh also agreed with my intention.
This could be a magical trick for the 2024 general election,” MP said.
Sarania hand in hand with BJP to protect the interests of the non-Bodo community in the area managed by the sixth schedule under the BTC.
But immediately both of them cannot be on the same page on a number of problems such as the increase in fuel prices and boundary disputes between countries.
Within a matter of time, friend Sarania changes the enemy for BJP.
“The tactics of the large opposition parties in Assam have failed in total.
The increase in gasoline-diesel prices has hit the common people and the Assam government now plans to collect taxes on the construction of houses in the village Panchayat area,” said Saramia.
The upcoming election can set a rolling ball, said Saramania, because the results can be a turning point.
“Assam has a historic relationship with Bengal.
Mamata-Didi will understand the issue of Assam and the Northeast better than someone from Gujarat,” he added.
Saramia said he met Abhishek in Kolkata in July to discuss the alliance.
“If the congress handed over a large number of seats to Raijor Dal and Assam Jatiya Parishad in the last assembly poll, they could form a government in Assam.
Congress must avoid his brother’s attitude now,” said Saramia.
Akhil, on the other hand, has claimed that he went to Kolkata twice recently at the invitation of Mamata Banerjee.
The President of the Work Raijor Dal Bhasco de Saikia, who also with Akhil during a meeting with Abhishek and Senior Trinamool Moloy Ghatak leader, said the agenda was to write a plan to defeat BJP in the Election 2024.
“Our meeting with Trinamool leaders is part of the exercises throughout the country To unite the anti-BJP parties.
But some rounds of meetings will be needed to complete the plan, “Bhasco said on Thursday.
Akhil on Wednesday said Trinamool leaders had given him a proposal to lead the Assam Party unit as president.
Akhil said he might not join the Trinamool Congress but could be part of the alliance supported by Trinamool as a regional party leader.
Akhil, however, opposed Aiudf, called it a communal party.
“To fight BJP communal, we cannot be part of the alliance where AIUDF is a partner,” he said.
