Low cash, BBMP is looking at a bio-fence fence (made of trees and bushes) to protect the lake
The Department of Lake Bruhat Bengaluru Mangangara (BBMP) has begun to apply the cost-effective and environmentally friendly method to secure lake land that is vulnerable to encroachment – it will install a bio fence to improve the boundaries of lakes.
Bio tapers are tree lines or shrubs that are planted on agriculture or field boundaries that provide protection against cattle and wildlife, enrich soil, and provide shade.
