Bengaluru: said fear of a dramatic surge in covid positive cases among children in the state capital, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanaagara Palike (BBMP) on Saturday appealed to Bengalurean and infected children to the hospital.
This step comes in a report background that claimed a sudden uptick in the number of children, in the age group of 0-9 years and 11-19 years, testing positive Covid-19.
Bbmp’s President Commissioner Gaurav Gupta, who held a discussion with the Civic Pediatric Popular Expert Committee, firmly stated that there was no significant increase in pay attention in the last 20 days.
“The city reported the daily average of around 450-500 previous cases, but now reduced to an average of 388 per day,” Gupta said.
Pukuatnya, which evaluates pediatric cases (0-18 years) over the past four months, shows that such cases consist of 11 percent of the covid cases as a whole in the city.
In fact, global data reviewed by the American Academy of Paediatrics shows that children represent 14.3 percent of the total cases.
In the current scenario, BBMP analysis added: “The total pediatric case this month (as on August 13) established at 511, which was 11.5 percent of the total cases.
Especially if we see the age group 0-12, the total case has been reduced from 2,643 In June this year became 778 in July to 309 on August 13.
“Ditto with hospitalization, with several children who need critical care beds.
Data showed that there were three children from 29 patients in a high dependency unit (HTU) and no children in the icus and ICU-ventilator in the city.
While children die in Bengaluru between April and June, there has been no death in the past two months.
Gupta appealed to people to bring children, which showed Covid symptoms, to the BBMP physical triage center, the primary health center and public health center for medical evaluation.
Furthermore, seven hospitals have been identified for children’s care, including Indira Gandhi’s health institute.
The Civic Agency also comes with a special 30 bed facility for pediatric treatment.
Make sure the children cover, hand washing: The Committee of the Pediatric Expert Committee has advised parents to ensure that children over three years follow the corresponding behavior of Covid such as wearing a mask, wash hands and avoid battle.
“The overall scenario shows that there is no need to panic or rushed positive children to the hospital.
Most of them will recover themselves showing mild symptoms,” Committee added.
