The Covid-19 case in the constituency of the city assembly seems to reflect so much difference.
What explains uneven numbers?
Let’s take 27 assembly segments within the border of Bengaluru.
Mahadevapura has the highest number of covid-19 cases in 85,785.
Chamarajpet is the lowest ranking on the 27th with 11,841 cases.

Even though Caseload was high, Mahadevapura had the lowest case death rate (CFR) at 0.7 percent among Bengaluru constituency.
Conversely, Chamarajpet has the highest CFR in 2 percent along with Rajajinagar, which is ranked 22,800 cases and the layout of Mahakshmi is ranked 20th with 28,157 cases.
In fact, the CFR of these three constituencies is higher than BBMP (1 percent) and the country average (1.31 percent).
Analyzing the trend, chairman of the Karnataka Technical Technical Advisory Committee, Dr.
MK Sudarshan said that one reason could be a higher supervision in Mahadevapura which has helped in early detection of cases and can lead to lower death.
On the other hand, he felt that because of the travel population, the Covid case in Mahadevapura might be higher.

SN Aravinda, Consultants, Internal Medicine, at the Aster RV Hospital, said: “There is no scientific explanation for this.
Chamarajpet has a floating population.
People may be accepted elsewhere too.
These figures are those who die in Chamarajpet .
Many will be accepted elsewhere, which is why the number of cases less.
Mahadevapura has the second highest population in Bangalore.
This can be a reason to have the highest number of Covid cases.

CFR is subject to detection of timely cases through constant testing, tracking symptomatic cases other than daily follow-up patients at high risk so that there are no cases that are served late to the hospital, said D Randeep, a special Commissioner of the BBMP for health.
He added that more vaccinations can help reduce death.
Meanwhile, Dr.
Sudarshan explained: “We need to check various factors for the right reasons.
There may be problems such as delays in achieving hospitals or low testing.
However, at the micro level, absolute numbers may be lower but the percentage may be higher.
Therefore, It will be difficult to draw conclusions.
”
BBMP, meanwhile, launched a health visit from the door to the door where the doctor’s team and paramedics collected information about the symptoms of Covid-19 and co-morbidities in 54 wards – two wards each of the assembly constituencies.
Each team will conduct a survey of at least 50 houses.
If the infected person 19-19 was found during their home visit, a home isolation kit was provided, available at the primary health center.

High on the coast; low in northern k’taka
