Bathinda: Angry at the actions of police Haryana about protesting farmers at the toll plaza near Karnal in a neighboring country on Saturday, agricultural activists in Punjab blocked vehicle traffic across the country for 2pm.
Activists of various agricultural organizations are blocking national and state highways in all states and raising slogans against Haryana and the BJP Union government.
They also demanded immediate dismissal from Karnal HR Ayush Sinha, accused him of giving the police to hit the protesters if they tried to destroy the police barricade to move forward.
In many places, the Haryana government effigion was also burned.
On Saturday too, similar scenes were witnessed in Punjab.
BKU Agriculture Organization (ETTA Ugrahan) Secretary General Sukhdev Singh Kampri Kalan accused that the government Haryana acted in a dictatorial way and the way it attacked the farmers opened her guise.
The BKU Agriculture Group (ETTA Dakaunda) President Bawa Singh Burjgill said BJP had to pay his mistake with goodness to beat farmers and did not listen to their misery sitting on the Delhi border for more than nine months.
Farmers will teach them lessons in the upcoming assembly selection, Uttarakhand and Punjab, he added.
