Chandigarh: The UT government has written a letter to the government of Haryana to stop the flow of sacketrics and Mahadevpur which is not processed in the state to Nepli Chandigarh.
In the letter to the addition of the Head of Secretary (Forest), and additional Secretary of the Head (Environment), Head of the Head of the Debendra Dalai Forest Conservator Dalai has said UT want to attract their attention to the problems related to the ecosenitive zone (ESZ) around Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary In the area falling in the Haryana region, and Saketri and Mahadevpur village water which was not treated, flowed to Nepli Choe from UT.
They were asked to solve problems on priority.
UT also said that this problem was collected by the Governor of Punjab-cum-UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore during the third meeting of the Chandigarh Wetlands Authority held on June 17.
Recently, the government also raised the problem of chancellor (punjab)) to the Chandigarh forest area.
Although recurring reminders, both Punjab and Haryana failed to stop the waste flowing from their territory to the city forest area.
The problem is related to the disposal of waste flowing from Nayagaon and Kansal Punjab and Sacketrics and Mahadevpur Village from Haryana.
Waste flowing into the Sukhna Forest Reserve has caused damage to flora and fauna in the area.
