Written by news2in

Guwahati: The leader of the farmer and President Raijor Dal Akhil Gogoi has refused the offer of the Trinamool Congress merger.
Akhil, at a press conference here on Sunday, said he discussed the prospect of merger between Raijor Dal and TMC with Prashant Kishor recently but refused to take over the TMC state unit.
He said the discussion was held three times with TMC leadership in Kolkata recently.
“Raijor Dal has spoken with the Trinamool Congress for a long time.
I have three formal discussions with Trinamool leaders, where their main election strategist Prashant Kishor is also present,” Akhil said.
Even though he did not leak the details of the discussion, Akhil said he went to Kolkata last time for the conversation on Friday.
After two days of discussion, he returned to Guwahati on Saturday night.
“The TMC direct proposal is that Raijor Dal must join their party forever.
The proposal for Mamata Banerjee is that I have to lead and bear the allegations of the Assam TMC State Committee as President,” Akhil said.
However, he, said Raijor Dal had not received a proposal but stated readiness to build a united Front with TMC.
“We want to work coordinate with TMC to bring up the general platform of regional parties in India to defeat BJP.
I do not have the ambition to become Trinamool President,” Akhil said, revealing the willingness to join hands with parties such as DMK and Shiv Sena to decide The prime minister’s candidate for 2024.
“By describing Mamata Banerjee as the main ministerial candidate.
The Confederation of Regional Forces can continue talks with Congress and other parties.
Our efforts are on this path outside the BJP and RSS,” he added.
In Assam, Aiudf Ajmal Badruddin was the only obstacle that had hampered the Alliance of Mahajot led by Congress with Raijor Dal.
Akhil has criticized Aiudf as a Muslim communal party, when he continued to ring BJP because it used communal politics spinning around Hindus.
The congressional delegation led by the Work President Unit Assam Congress, Rana Goswami and Jakir Hussain Sikdar, met Akhil and other senior party leaders in the Raijor Dal office here on Sunday night to strengthen the bond between the Anti-BJP parties.
“Being an anti-BJP and anti-aiudf is our policy.
There may not be a compromise with it,” said Akhil.
“There is no permanent in politics.
AIUD may not be part of the Congress LED alliance tomorrow.
If AIDF remains with Congress, we cannot be part of their alliance,” he said, claiming that the legislator part of the Congress wanted the big party to take the bond with AIudf , Raijor Dal attracted all stops of victory over the voice of Muslims from AIUDF.
Akhil has accused that the Ajmal party failed to overcome the NRC problem, “D” (doubtful) and the problem of the detention camp that had been faced by a large number of Muslims.
Meanwhile, the TMC leadership state committee is still in the dark about political developments in Kolkata.
The President (responsible) Unit Assam TMC, Gopi Nath Das, told Ti that they had been kept away from the ongoing loop from the ongoing discussion.
Apart from the existence of 17 district party committees, TMC failed to make an impression in Assam’s 2021 elections where he mainly focused on areas inhabited by a minority in Lower Assam and Barak Valley.
“We hope that TMC will be a new altitude scale in Assam’s politics soon.
Our party will be an alternative to Congress and AIudf, especially in a minority belt in Assam.
Let’s wait for two more years,” he said.
