Rangia: Some preserved commercial houses and commercial companies and property are estimated to be worth the crores rupee which was destroyed in a fire in the city of Rangia from Kamrup (rustic) Assam, an official said on Friday.
No one was injured in the fire incident on Thursday night, he added.
The fire broke near the Shiv Mrittunjay temple in the city on Thursday night during Diwali celebrations, swallowed several houses, shops and warehouses.
Eight fire tenders were able to extinguish the fire with the help of the local community after more than two hours, the official said.
Property that is estimated to be worthy of crores rupees is destroyed, even though the cause of the fire has not been confirmed, he said.
