Guwahati: The Special Judge Court in Guwahati on Thursday guarantees Rakesh Paul, inaugurated in the Scam Cash-For-Public Service Service (APSC), in connection with the case registered in the Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) from Assam Police.
However, Paul will continue to be in prison because he has not received a guarantee in a separate case registered at the Bhangagarh police station in the city.
Paul is the Chairman of the APSC between 2012 and 2019.
The enforcement directorate slapped the criminal charges against Paul based on state police mod which accused the irregularities related to the recruitment of candidates in the exam done by APSC conducted by APSC.
He was arrested in November 2016 and had undergone Judicial custody since then.
Paul’s lawyer told the media, “from a total of four cases against Paul, he has been given a guarantee in three except cases of the Bhangagarh police station.

Paul’s advice argues that his client has the right to guarantee with the reasons for parity with the accused of others in this matter, which has been released with a guarantee and for his prolonged detention.
This case is registered with Cid based on fired by one Shon Kumar Baishya.
He accused Paul to take bribes for the examination of civil service elections for 2014.
In June, the Special Judge Court had framed the allegations against Paul under the Section 7 and 13 (b) prevention of corruption law along with part 420 IPC in the case.

This commission was formed by the state government after the direction of the Gautati High Court to ask for cash fraud for work.
The Commission has detected anomalies that occurred on the 2013 CCE exam.
Police have arrested 59 AC and APS officials and submitted Chargesheets against them.
