Guwahati: Scripting History in the State’s airport, the first commercial flight landed at the easternmost tip at Indian Landmass, Tezu at the Lohit District of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.
The inclusion of Tezu in the country’s flight map is expected to provide a big boost for tourism in the state of the border bordering China.
Flybig Airlines released his first flight from Guwahati who landed in Tezu on Thursday morning, including 1 hour airline.
Head of Minister of Arunachal Minister Pema Khandu respected the event with his virtual presence to mark flight girls from Tezu along with captain Sanjay Mandavia, President, Flybig.

Mark today’s flight @flybigines for the Tezu-Guwahati route from Itanagar via VC,” Khanda tweeted.
He said Tezu was the seventh domestic goal in Ne under Udan, giving encouragement to regional connectivity as imagined by PM Modi.
The first ceremony in Tezu was subject to Nalo Nakap, Civil Aviation and Tapir Gao, MP, Arunachal East.
Flybig will operate on this route with a frequency of four flights per week.
With the route Guwahati – Tezu, Flybig has established air connectivity in 10 of 16 routes in the northeast under the UDAN-RCS scheme.
Overcoming the ceremony from Tezu from Tezu later on, Ravi Kant, regional executive director of the Indian Authority Airport extended his sincere thanks to the Government Arunachal Pradesh for sustainable support even during flight hours to start flight services and to start where seats are available at affordable prices for shorter distances.

ATR-72 Flybig type aircraft was welcomed by salut the traditional water cannon by the Tezu Airport airport team.
This flight will operate on the Guwahati-Tezu-Guwahati route every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The statement by AAI stated that the operational route Guwahati-Tezu was the success story of the RCS-Udan route in the northeast after the airline would win an offer to operate flights on several routes in the region including Shillong, Silchar, Agartala, Rubsi and Guwahati.
Tezu Airport is being rebuilt by AAI, which includes the construction of a terminal building and related work.
Terminal buildings will be spread at 4200 square meters, apron and runway extension as well as plans with building terminals and new air traffic control towers, all with the estimated cost of Rs 140 Crore.
During peak hours, around 200 passengers can be handled in the new building.
ATR-72 aircraft parking is also provided in the project.
“Extension work is underway at Tezu airport scheduled to be completed next year in a different phase,” read the statement.
