GUWAHATI: The Assam government led by the BJP marked the completion of the first 100 days on Friday with a serious record by submitting a letter of appointment to the next kin of the six police officers, were killed by police during the inter-state Mizoram.

For 46 other police injured in the shooting, the government had provided Rs 1 Lakh Ex Gratia to each of them.
Former Cachar District Supervisor Police Nimbalkar Vaibhab Chandrakan, who was injured in the task line that day, was flown to Mumbai for better medical care with all costs borne by the state government.
Two other injured police personnel were also flown from Silchar to Guwahati for better care.
