Guwahati: Data has revealed that in the last three months 72% of those who died because Covid-19 in Assam was not vaccinated.
The Minister of Health of Keshab Mahanta on Thursday told the media that between August 10 and November 10 this year, a total of 631 patients died of Covid-19 in Assam.
From them, 451 was not vaccinated.
“Death that is not vaccinated is a matter of concern.
We appeal to all residents for the earliest vaccinations,” he said.
Data from the Medical Medical College (GMCH) Hospital shows that of 318 Covid deaths reported in the Premier Healthcare Institute Icus between August and October this year, 71.4% of cases were not vaccinated.
Of the 318 deaths, 227 were not vaccinated, while 91 (28.6%) were vaccinated.
While 54 patients or 17% were inoculated with the first dose, 37 (11.6%) were fully vaccinated.
“The percentage of 71.4 patients who were not vaccinated were large numbers.
The severity of this disease is lacking and the possibility of mortality is lacking in the case of patients who are fully vaccinated.
Our analysis confirms this,” said the GMCH Dr.ijit Sarma supervisor to Ti.
In accordance with data from the center, around 86% of 18 people who meet the requirements of citizens in vaccinated countries with the first dose until Tuesday.
But the second dose coverage is 37% according to the latest data.
Assam still reported 200 to 300 cases of Daily Covid, although the level of participation is less than one percent for some time.
251 positive cases were detected on Thursday after 39,898 tests.
The level of front is 0.63%.
Kunrup (Metro) District which includes Guwahati’s capital has been the greatest concern because 130 cases are detected in greater Guwahati.
Seven Covid deaths were reported in the state on Thursday.
