GUWAHATI: Family members of physician Seuj Kumar Senapati, that had been brutally attacked at a Covid care center at Assam’s Hojai district, have refused to take the financial aid of Rs 1 lakh expanded by India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) leader Badruddin Ajmal after the episode.
Seuj and several other employees of the center were attacked by a mob after the departure of a Covid-19 optimistic individual in Udali Covid Care Centre at the district on June 1.
The relatives of the individual were also from the mob.
Afterwards, police arrested 26 individuals in relation to the event.
The situation is currently being monitored by primary minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Seuj is now undergoing treatment in the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Hospital police on Thursday said though Seuj obtained a bone fracture onto his head, he’s secure and from danger.
Jahnabi Senapati, sister of their physician, told TOI,”We’ve observed in tv which Badruddin Ajmal has announced Rs 1 lakh as a monetary assistance to people.
We welcome his statement.
However, we cannot accept that sum since the government will be bearing the treatment price.
So, there’s absolutely not any reason to take Ajmal’s help.” “If he would like to assist us, then assist Seuj to find justice.
He needs to make certain every one of the perpetrators become penalized,” he explained.
Jitu Bordoloi, the brother-in-law of all Seuj who arrived to Guwahati using the attacked physician because of his therapy, stated,”Seuj is now undergoing treatment in the GMCH.

Already, he’s receiving free treatment given by the state authorities.
He could help us in obtaining justice” Ajmal has condemned the barbaric event and urged the state authorities to create the agreement for a speedy trial so the offenders get instant and exemplary punishment.
It can be noted that it wasn’t the first episode of such type in the nation.
Physicians and health workers are becoming victims of these attack or lynching from the country for many times.
In 2019, a 73-year-old resident physician — Deben Dutta of Teok Tea Estate at Assam’s Jorhat district was lynched.
The mob declared medical neglect by the physician leading to death of a farm employee.
Last year in October, a local court declared 25 individuals guilty in the situation.
Of these, 1 was given death penalty and 24 were awarded life imprisonment.
