Guwahati: After biting dust in recent improvements in the state, the congress is now targeting the election of the upcoming city in Guwahati, it is likely to be held early next year, by forming 84 election committees for all regions of 84 cities under the leadership of a local leader.

To achieve the 33 lakh membership target, each MLA has been entrusted with one district, not including his home district to oversee the drive of membership.
The third MPS Lok Sabha will also oversee each LS constituency.
Rajya Sabha MPs Ripun Bora will supervise Tezpur Lok Sabha, while Ranee Narah will oversee Lakhimpur Lok Sabha.
“The drive of membership will be accelerated and the target that has been completed for the first phase is 33 lakh.
About 8.50 lakh the membership form has been disbursed,” said Bobbeeta Sharma, Chair of the Media Department Assam PCC.
The meeting was attended by the leader of the ACLP Debabrata Saikia, Deputy Leader of ACLP Rakibul Hussain, Whip Head Wazed Ali Choudhury, Assam PCC President Bhupen Kumar Borah and the work of the work of Rana Goswami, Kamalakhsya Dey Purksyastha and Jakir Hussain Sikdar.
MPs from both houses from Assam, Ripun Bora, Pradyut Bordoloi, Ranee Narah, Gaurav Gogoi and Abdul Khaleque, were invited to be a special guest.
