Guwahati: a quarter decline in the Daily Covid case in Assam in the last 10 days has brought great help in the midst of the third wave of pandemic, but the condition of the Mizoram border remains the only country in the northeast where a surge in everyday case continues with a worrying level of participant.
On January 19, a total of 8,339 cases were up to date in the third wave since January 1 – recorded in Assam.
But the curve decreased sharply with only 2,294 cases on Saturday.
From the positivity rate of 12.92% test (TPR) recorded on January 20, the same thing fell to almost 6% in Assam.
However, the contrasting picture was witnessed in neighboring Mizoram, where the Covid situation continued to remain gloomy because the harsh daily kaselity refused to decline while the daily TPR remained very high.
Mizoram recorded 1,819 cases over the past 24 hours, such as opposing 2,143 cases on Friday and 2,064 on Thursday, but Daily TPR floated between 27% and 29%.

Covid fatality remains a concern but will come soon,” Director of Medical Education, Assam, Dr.
Anup Kumar Barman, told TII.
While the level of recovery in Assam slowly improved and touched 94.88% on Saturday night, the same in Mizoram had become the lowest among eight northeastern states.

Even after releasing 1,310 people infected with Covid-19 in Mizoram on Sunday night, the country continued to have 13,496 active cases and the recovery rate was 91.79%.
With six deaths related to Covid for the past 24 hours, the total number rose to 605.
