Guwahati: As part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the 75th anniversary of the nation’s independence, Governor Assam Prof.
Jagdish Mukhi marks the movement of the Sashastra Bal (SSB) personnel in the place of Raj Bhavan here on Saturday.
Pro SSB states that the rally cycle participating by 17 SSB personnel will pass various countries to cover around 2000 km to reach Rajghat in New Delhi in 36 days.
Speaking on that occasion, Mukhi said, “On the occasion marking the cycle rally, I encourage everyone to appreciate the purpose behind the rally that promotes a healthy lifestyle among the youth and encourages them to stay fit”.
Mukhi also said that cycling is one of the best ways to stay healthy and is a clean mode of transportation.
He appealed to the SSB cyclist taken part in the rally to spread healthy life messages mixed with the ethos of love for the country during their trip through various parts of the country.
Thanking SSB for taking the initiative in starting the rally cycle, the governor said it showed the spirit of love SSB for the nation and its people.
He also praised the SSB for intimate relationships with the people of Assam and that the SSB relationship by keeping the international border of the country with Bhutan has instilled a sense of security among people who live along the border.
SSB placement along the border, controls the crime rate.
He was also associated with the border area patrol and improved the living conditions of people along the border with the commitment of SSB which did not change.
He also urged SSB to keep devoting to overcoming the dynamics of security narratives and evoking the highest sacrifice of personnel in fulfilling their duties.
