GUWAHATI: Former Congress legislator Rupjyoti Kurmi, ” the party’s only influential MLA in the tea tribe neighborhood at the 126-member meeting, combined the ruling BJP on Monday”to get involved in the struggle to defend the culture of Assam”.
Kurmi had resigned by the Grand Old Party along with also the membership of the meeting last Friday.
On Mondayhe combined BJP at the presence of ministry Himanta Biswa Sarma in a role in Lakhimpur district.
Welcoming Kurmi into the celebration, Sarma explained him as one of the most powerful youth leaders at the nation.
He also added that Kurmi was prepared to join with the BJP at 2019 but couldn’t do this.
Kurmi reported a new job culture has started in the nation under the direction of Sarma that has left an enduring effect on him and he also expects to work with renewed energy in future to the celebration.
Blaming Congress for not recognizing his contribution to the celebration, Kurmi stated,”I must have known the people refused Congress in the Lok Sabha elections at 2014 and 2019 and at the state legislative assembly elections at 2016 and united BJP earlier.
Although I’m little late, I’m delighted to find an opportunity here in order to bring about the struggle to defend the culture of Assam.” Accusing Congress of dismissing the communities, Kurmi added that he didn’t wish to be aboard a”sinking ship” because he wished to work to those of his constituency in addition to the nation.
In addition, he suggested that some more Congress leaders would be from the queue to give up the party shortly.
Following Kurmi’s death from Congress, Sarma had requested all resistance MLAs to join with the BJP and work collectively for the growth of the nation that the resistance called”undemocratic” and a”danger to democracy.” Condemning the CM’s allure, senior Congress leader and CLP leader at the meeting, Debabrata Saikia, stated,”For the very first timeI have noticed a CM creating this kind of undemocratic remark.
