JORHAT: The state government approved the addition of 452 hectares to 1,085.53 square kilometers and Kaziranga National Park and Tiger reserves on Tuesday.
The new area is the 10th additional park under the Biswanath district in the state.
Commissioners and Secretary of the Department of Assam, Environment and Forestry Department, GD Tripathi, with notice stating that in carrying out the power provided by Article 35 of the Law of Wildlife (Protection), 1972, the Government Assam happily expressed his intention.
To form an area of ββ452 hectares (4.52 square kilometers) in addition to Kaziranga National Park.
The government, in the same notification, also appoints the Biswanath Deputy Commissioner to ask and determine the existence, the nature and level of all rights / claims that are thought to exist for people or people within any limit within the area of ββthe region proposed as a provision of law.
According to notice, the 10th additional area starts from the southeastern corner of the Monabari afforestation center on the 6th border of additional and running along the monabari plantation boundary in the east and then further east.
After that again walked in the northwest.
The southern limit runs along the North Bank Brahmaputra River after the 6th additional boundaries of the park and in the South East Corner of Monabari Agorstestation Center.

The broad landscape was proposed in addition to the 10th additional resident and migration such as bufffa, rhinos, elephants and tigers.

Last year, the government had agreed to a 30.53 square kist area as an additional seventh, eight and ninth in the park in two Nagaon and Sonitpur districts.
The Kaziranga core area is 430 square kilometers.
