Guwahati: The emergence of lawyers Krishna Gogoi as a CPI candidate in repairing Thowra who will come against his former client Dhaijjya Konwar from Raijor Dal (RD) refers to the opposition compliance in Assam.
Mahajot, led by Congress, still has not been decided on who to take the board in the struggle against BJP.
Krishna Gogoi is known in the legal circles for its tireless efforts to free the leader of Kristi Mukti Samiti (KMSS) and RD President Akhil Gogoi, his deputy Dhaijjya and other anti-CAA activists nesting in prison with the (UPA) that violated the law (UPA) when Agitation of the new citizenship law took a change of violence in December 2019.
After 18 months in prison when it seemed that all the way to release Akhil was blocked, it was Gogoi and his team that the farmer’s body had faith.
Dhaijjya, the second leading leader of the KMSS, got a guarantee in July 2020, a year before Akhil got a guarantee.
Krishna and his team were given credit for Dhaijjya guarantee.
The BJP nomination is likely that Sushanta Borghain, but the congress has not announced its candidates in Thowra, who is her fort.
In the latest assembly elections, the CPI is part of the Mahajot led by the Congress.
“The opposition arch has forced the CPI to announce the nomination of Thowra.
We want the opposition association in this election but there is no serious intention at the Congress or Raijor Dal to fight against Fascim,” Krishna said on Wednesday.
He called Congress and RD as a paper tiger on ‘fascist aggression’ BJP and accused the two opposition parties just trying to fulfill their party agenda.
Krishna said the RD approached him several times asking him to step down.
“Why does Raijor Dal not back down?” He asked instead.
Dhaijjya and Krishna have shared very close relationships in the past.
They were a dormitory roommate when they studied at Law College.
“It hurts that I fought my best friend.
Political parties must be blamed for this clash,” Krishna added.
He also accused the congress trying to tighten small parties.
Even though the CPI was not mood to escape from Mahajot, Krishna said President PCC Assam Baru Bhupen Bora did nothing to strengthen the alliance.
Despite the CPI influence decreases in Sivasagar, a dedicated cadre from the left party still leads the campaign secretly.
“If we get the voice of people who have principles, it’s enough,” Krishna said.
On the other hand, RD focuses on road corners and page meetings to reach maximum households.
Dhaijjya said 30,000 votes could swing the pendulum that benefited him in Thowra, which has 1.15 lakh registered voters.
Most importantly, RD expects this big turnover this time.
Akhil’s victory in the adjacent Sivasagar in the last election is estimated to have a big impact on Thowra.
RD President has not attacked Krishna or CPI but went out against Sushanta who joined BJP after resigning as the MLA Congress recently.
“People have criticized Sushanta as opposed to.
He betrayed voters who chose BJP in the last election,” Akhil said.
