GUWAHATI: Assam’s Covid-19 positivity rate went up to 2.76% on Sunday, though the total number of active cases dropped to 1,523 due to lesser testing.
Over the past 24 hours 55,131 tests were conducted, nearly 73,000 short of the tests carried out on Saturday.
Kamrup (Metropolitan) district logged 149 new cases on Sunday.
Even as the recovery rate improved to 93.69%, the number of Covid deaths on Sunday too showed marginal increase and touched 37.
