Guwahati: Vulnerable district, which still shows the relatively higher number of Covid cases, may not be relieved from the limits in the near future to Assam.
Even when the health department’s sources stated that fresh sidewalks in Guwahati were not possible, Minister of Health Keshab Mahanta on Thursday said three districts – Golaghat, Sonitpur and Kamrup (Metropolitan) – were under the scanner.
He was talking to the media on the sidelines of the National Doctors Day event on the outskirts of the city.
The Minister of Health expressed his thanks to the doctor for their nonstop service during a pandemic.
“In three districts, Covid infection has spread a lot.
Hopefully, the minister’s chairman will immediately make a decision,” said Manganta, insisted on more stringent restrictions in the district which showed rapid spread.
He said the new SOP can come into force after Sunday.
Biswanath, Marigaon and Toawerpara and Bokakhat Sub-Division of the Goleaghat District are currently under the seven-day lip starting on Monday.
“Districts that show lower infections tend to get more relaxation but wherever the spread is fast, restrictions can be more stringent,” Manganta said.
On that occasion, Manganta launched Swasthya Dapoon, a quarterly medical journal published by NHM Assam.
He is embarrassing a doctor of the State Ministry of Health, Indian Medical Association and Representative Association of Medical Services Assam in Khetri CHC.
He also handed over financial support to beneficiaries under the scheme of AssamarogyAnidhi.
Even when the total number of everyday cases in Assam was declining, districts such as Golaghat had reported more than 300 cases every day.
“We are worried about the numbers in several districts.
When the entire country has around 45,000 cases of everyday, Assam contributes nearly 2,500 cases.
This cannot be taken easily,” said Director of Assam NHM Lakshmanan S told toi.
In the past 10 days, the Golaghat district has 2,536 positive cases, followed by Sonitpur with 1,988 cases.
Camrup (metropolitan), which includes Guwahati City, has 1,641 cases during the period.
Health officials said the Covid situation had achieved stagnation, showing slowly in everyday cases.
“People must be careful to solve stagnation in the case.
In the area under detention, we detect infection.
But people must be very careful in the workspace and public places in the districts where sufficient relaxation Great given, “said Executive Director of Assam NHM Dr.
Manoj Choudhury.
