Guwahati: Assam reported the first Omicron case on Wednesday.
Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that this 35-year-old man from Hojai traveled from Saudi Arabia.
The temporary person has been tested negatively for infection, said Minister.
The sample of a 13-year-old boy from Digming in Assam has tested the positive Omicron on Tuesday but the sample was collected in Meghalaya when he went there with his family.
