Guwahati: Special Offline Exam Results in October in October for students who are not happy with the results of the evaluation-based formula adopted in July, show a clear decrease in the percentage of graduation.
Under formula-based evaluation carried out by school exam report, through the results of the certificate test (HSLC) of high school (class X) stated in July, the percentage pass was 93.1%, an increase of 30% compared to last year’s board exam.
However, in a special council examination was carried out through offline mode a few months later in October, the success rate was 70%.
“In formula-based evaluations, only students’ signs of the school-based exam are taken into account.
But when it is involved in a special board exam, the rules are tighter.
The difference is seen in the results,” SBA’s controller exam, Nayan Jyoti Sarmah, told TII.
The difference of opinion about the percentage of slide in pass remained among board officials.
Other SBA senior officials, with anonymous conditions, said the majority of students who emerged for special exams were “weak students”, which failed in the previous school-based test.
Of the 18,878 candidates who appeared for special examinations, only 266 students emerged after they found the results of the formula-based evaluation were unsatisfactory.
Sen percent of these students graduated and 37 of them even got a difference in a special test.
But for the remaining 18,612 candidates, the special council exam is a kind of compartmental exam after they fail in three or fewer subjects.
Secretary Seba Suranjana Senapati said the fair opportunity was given to all students who would not be able to complain about the results of the formula-based evaluation stated earlier.
“We have completed the evaluation of the answer script in a very short span of time so that successful students can receive entrance tickets in class XI,” he said.
